Many adults are overworked, stressed and worn out from long hours at a desk, constant screen time and a packed schedule. That lifestyle is hard on the body, especially the spine. If you’re looking for a back pain chiropractor in Reston, VA, Dr. Jason R. Brown, D.C. helps adults deal with neck, back and hip pain, tension headaches, poor posture and stiffness, so you can get through your day without hurting.
When you need back and neck pain care
Back and neck pain rarely shows up out of nowhere. It builds from how we sit, sleep, lift and move. Signs it’s time to get help:
- Your lower back aches by the end of the workday
- Your neck and shoulders feel tight, and headaches follow
- Pain shoots into your hip or down a leg
- You’re stiff in the morning and it takes a while to loosen up
- Bending, turning or lifting hurts more than it should
Waiting tends to let the problem spread. As your body works around the sore spot, other muscles and joints start to complain too.
Our back and neck pain care process
It starts with a free 10–15 minute consult with Dr. Jason. If you want to go ahead, your first visit includes an exam, digital X-rays if you need them and your first adjustment.
Dr. Jason focuses on restoring proper alignment and movement in the spine. Most visits are about an hour: spinal work with Dr. Jason, then muscle work, stretching and exercises with Dr. Jason or one of our therapists. He also goes over lifestyle and ergonomic advice, like how you sit and set up your desk, and gives you exercises to keep doing at home. Some patients even get told to take more computer breaks.
When your feet play a part in your back or hip pain, custom orthotics may be part of the plan.
Payment and insurance
Your cost depends on your plan and your insurance. We work with some insurance plans and are out of network with most. We accept Medicare, but not Medicaid, and we’re familiar with FSA and HSA accounts. After your free consult, you get a clear price before anything happens. See payment options.
Why choose us
Our patients have given us a 4.9-star rating across 52 Google reviews. One recent patient, a mechanic with low back pain so bad he could barely work, felt better after his first visit and now comes every two weeks to keep working. Dr. Jason takes his time, explains what he’s doing and wants to be the most conservative person you see. If he can’t help you, he’ll get you to someone who can.
